PSL 10: Peshawar Zalmi defeat Islamabad United by 6 wickets

Lahore (Web Desk): In a key match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10, Peshawar Zalmi secured a convincing 6-wicket victory over Islamabad United, successfully chasing down the 144-run target in the 17th over.

Zalmi’s batting was anchored by impressive performances from Maaz Sadaqat, who scored a fiery 55, and captain Babar Azam, who added a solid 53. The duo built a crucial 102-run partnership for the third wicket, paving the way for a comfortable win.

Earlier, Islamabad United, after opting to bat first, managed to score 143 runs for 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Sahibzada Farhan was the top scorer with 36 runs, while Ben Dwarshuis contributed 33 runs.

On the bowling front, Mohammad Ali starred for Peshawar Zalmi with an excellent spell, claiming 3 wickets.

Following this victory, Peshawar Zalmi now have 6 points on the PSL 10 points table, while Islamabad United suffered their second loss in the tournament.
