Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has highlighted Pakistan’s determined push toward economic reforms, unveiling a comprehensive, homegrown program designed to ensure long-term stability and growth.
He made these remarks during a meeting with World Bank Group President (CPF) Ajay Banga, who visited Islamabad on Monday.
During the discussion, the prime Minister expressed gratitude for the World Bank Group’s continued support in areas such as resilient infrastructure, agribusiness, digital transformation, energy, human capital development, fiscal reforms, and measures to encourage productive private sector investment aimed at generating employment and stimulating economic growth.
The two sides emphasized the urgent need to accelerate the execution of development projects aligned with the Country Partnership Framework, while maintaining strong oversight to ensure tangible results at a faster pace.
These steps, they agreed, would support the Prime Minister’s efforts to overcome implementation challenges in key development initiatives.
