Pakistan, Türkiye reaffirm strategic partnership, pledge joint efforts for regional peace

Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan and Türkiye have once again expressed their shared resolve to further strengthen their bilateral relations and work closely on regional peace efforts, during a high-level meeting held in Islamabad on Friday.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar received Türkiye’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Irfan Neziroglu, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where both sides held detailed discussions on mutual cooperation and regional developments.

In the meeting, Ambassador Neziroglu conveyed warm appreciation from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, acknowledging Pakistan’s continued diplomatic initiatives aimed at encouraging peace and stability in the Middle East. He highlighted that Türkiye values Pakistan’s constructive and responsible role in addressing ongoing regional issues.

On his part, Deputy Prime Minister Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent policy of supporting lasting peace in the Middle East, stressing that Islamabad remains actively engaged through diplomatic channels to help promote stability across the region.

He also appreciated the strong coordination and frequent high-level engagement between Pakistan and Türkiye, noting that such interactions reflect the depth of the relationship between the two countries. Dar further reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to expanding and strengthening its strategic partnership with Türkiye across a wide range of sectors.

Both sides expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral ties and agreed on the importance of continuing close cooperation to jointly tackle regional and global challenges.
