Islamabad (Web Desk): In a firm rebuttal issued on Friday, Pakistan dismissed India’s assertions concerning its so-called ‘Operation Sindoor’ and the newly surfaced Operation Mahadev, accusing New Delhi of spreading disinformation and provoking hostility for internal political advantage.
During his weekly press briefing, Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan condemned remarks made by Indian political figures in the Lok Sabha, calling them “provocative and baseless.”
He maintained that these declarations were part of an effort to mislead the global community and rationalize aggressive actions directed at Pakistan.
Khan emphasized that the narrative pushed by Indian representatives during the parliamentary session revealed “a dangerous tendency to misrepresent the truth and justify unilateral aggression.” He stated that the Indian authorities were “targeting innocent civilians in the name of Operation Mahadev.”
The FO spokesperson said that India was manipulating facts, glorifying confrontational policies, and stirring tensions as a means of gaining political leverage domestically.
“Pakistan categorically rejects the baseless assertions and provocative claims made by the Indian leaders during the Lok Sabha debate on the so-called ‘Operation Sindoor’,” Khan stated.
“These statements reflect a dangerous tendency to distort facts, justify aggression, and glorify conflict for domestic consumption.”
He further described the Indian narrative as inflammatory and unsubstantiated, warning that “Pakistan will give a befitting reply to any aggression.”
Referring to recent incidents, Shafqat Ali Khan said that India had acted recklessly in relation to Pahalgam, launching attacks “without investigating.”
The FO spokesperson reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to maintaining peace in the region but will not hesitate to respond if provoked.
