Islamabad (Staff Report): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday suspended the party membership of Nehal Hashmi and directed him to tender his resignation from Senate, said Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb.
The party authorities have also issued a show cause notice to the PML-N leader and have instructed him to step down from the party position of General Secretary PML-N Sindh.
Earlier, a video emerged of a Nehal Hashmi speech in which he threatened the prime minister’s unidentified ‘enemies’.
“Currently you are on service, but tomorrow you will retire and we will make your life miserable,” Hashmi said.
He initiated his address, saying: “To all those who are seeking Nawaz Sharif’s accountability, we will make your day of accountability. We are not going to spare you…”
Moreover he said, “You are Nawaz Sharif’s life difficult, Pakistani nation will let you go through the same ordeal…”
