Islamabad (Web Desk): The chairperson of National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Qamar Zaman Chaudhry will head an important meeting today (Monday) to discuss legal aspects of the Supreme Court’s Panama case verdict.
“The apex court’s decision will be fully implemented,” a source close to NAB chairperson revealed.
According to sources, the deputy chairperson of the bureau, deputy prosecutor general, director general operations and the director general of NAB Rawalpindi have been summoned at the meeting.
Following the SC announced disqualification of Nawaz Sharif on July 28, NAB was ordered to prepare and file a report on the basis of material collected and referred to by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT).
The material available with the Panama case JIT has references against 10 respondents, including Nawaz Sharif, his children Hassan, Hussain and Maryam; Captain (retd) Safdar and Ishaq Dar, among others.
NAB has been asked to prepare a report on businesses of the Sharif family, including Azizia Steel Mills’, Hill metal Establishment and ownership of Azizia Steel Mills.
