Turkiye President Erdogan urges diplomatic solutions for Russia-Ukraine war

Ankara (Web Desk): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that Turkey stands in solidarity with the people of Gaza and called for the opening of routes to deliver humanitarian aid to the region.

In a joint press conference with German Chancellor in Turkey, President Erdogan welcomed the Chancellor, describing it as an honor to host them. He emphasized the importance of discussing strategic agreements between Turkey and Germany, particularly in the defense sector, where both countries have significant capabilities. He stressed the need to focus on joint projects.

Erdogan also reiterated Turkey's commitment to continuing its fight against terrorism and expressed his support for the people of Gaza. "We must open routes to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza," he said, condemning the atrocities committed against its people.

He also mentioned that the issue of Syria was discussed with the German Chancellor, noting that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has prioritized peace over weapons.

On the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, President Erdogan expressed concern and advocated for diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict peacefully.
