18 Indian-sponsored terrorists killed in separate Balochistan operations: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security Forces killed 18 terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna al Hindustan, in two separate operations in Balochistan, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted in the general area Chiltan Mountains, Quetta District, on the reported presence of terrorists.

“During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and after an intense fire exchange, 14 Indian sponsored terrorists were sent to hell,” it further said.

In another IBO conducted in the general area Buleda, Kech District, a terrorist hideout was busted and four terrorists were successfully neutralized.

Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities.

The military’s media wing said that sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area.

“Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by security forces and law enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country”, the ISPR said.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the security forces for carrying out two successful counterterrorism operations against militants of Fitna al Hindustan in the Quetta and Kech districts.

President Zardari, in his statement, acknowledged the courage and commitment of the armed forces, saying that under the ongoing operation Azm-e-Istehkam, they remain resolute in their mission to completely eradicate terrorism from the country.

In a statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the security forces and reaffirmed that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with them in the fight against terrorism.

He reiterated the government’s unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorism in all its forms and ensure lasting peace across Pakistan.
