Security forces kill 7 India-backed terrorists during IBO in Balochistan’s Kharan: security sources

Quetta (Web Desk): Security forces have eliminated seven terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the Lajay area of Kharan district in Balochistan, security sources said.

As per the security sources, the operation was launched under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 after intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants in the area.

The security sources said that the security forces engaged the terrorists and killed seven members of Fitna-al-Khwarij, while several others were injured during the operation.

A substantial quantity of modern weapons, ammunition and other military equipment was recovered from the terrorists’ hideouts following the operation. Security forces also confiscated two vehicles and a motorcycle that were allegedly being used by the militants.

The hideouts used by the terrorists were subsequently destroyed as part of the clearance operation.

The security sources added that the slain militants had been involved in a number of criminal and terrorist activities across Kharan and Lajay. Their activities reportedly included robberies, extortion, abductions for ransom, targeted killings and suicide attacks.

Security forces are continuing intelligence-based and targeted operations across Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, with the objective of breaking up militant networks and ensuring sustainable peace and stability in the province.

Security sources said the campaign against terrorists would remain ongoing until all militant elements are eliminated, adding that every necessary measure would be taken to accomplish the operation’s objectives.
