He emphasized the importance of establishing a knowledge-based economy, focusing on three key areas: Artificial Intelligence, education, and healthcare.
PM Shehbaz noted that Pakistan is not just adopting AI but is also committed to training engineers and data scientists to fully leverage its benefits across industries. In education, he discussed ongoing reforms aimed at cultivating a tech-savvy generation, mentioning initiatives like the Daanish School and the Education Endowment Program, which provide quality education to deserving students.
In healthcare, he pointed out the innovative work of young medical professionals and the potential for cross-border collaborations to enhance health outcomes. He mentions Institutions like King Edward Medical College, NUST, and Agha Khan University as crucial for breakthroughs in medical research and treatment.
On the occasion, PM Shehbaz made a passionate appeal for peace in Gaza, emphasizing that without stability there, global progress remains unattainable. This year’s conference theme is "Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow."
