Islamabad (Web Desk): Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed on Tuesday took oath as the acting Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).
Justice Umar Ata Bandial administered the oath to him at a ceremony in Islamabad. Judges and senior lawyers attended the ceremony.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa and the most senior judge of the apex court after him, Justice Gulzar Ahmad left for Russia to represent Pakistan at the judicial conference.
The conference will be held from July 31 to August 3 in Moscow.
