Islamabad (Staff Report): The Interior Ministry on Wednesday permitted Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz to travel abroad.
On Jan 16, The Lahore High Court (LHC) allowed Hamza Shahbaz to travel abroad for a period of 10 days.
Hamza had petitioned the court that Interior Ministry had placed his name on the Exit Control List (ECL).
Last year, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) barred Opposition Leader in the Punjab Assembly from leaving the country.
Hamza was offloaded from a plane of Qatar Airways, 620, bound for Doha.
Hamza, along with his younger brother Salman Shehbaz, is facing the NAB’s investigations regarding assets beyond income and had sought protective bail from the LHC.
