At least 11 killed, several injured in motorway bus accident near Fateh Jang 

Fateh Jang (Web Desk): At least 11 people died in a devastating bus accident on the M-14 Motorway near Fateh Jang on Monday.

According to rescue sources, the deceased included six women and five men, while 22 others sustained injuries.

The passengers were traveling from Bahawalpur to Islamabad and came from various regions, including Bahawalpur, Vehari, Sharaqpur, and Islamabad.

The cause of the accident is believed to be the driver's negligence, as the bus overturned, causing the tragic fatalities.

Rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene, transferring six of the injured, including three women, to Benazir Bhutto Hospital, while one injured had been transferred to Islamabad and District Headquarter Hospital, each.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed her deep sorrow over the loss of life. She also offered her prayers for the recovery of those injured.

Meanwhile, Motorway Police Chief Riffat Mukhtar has called for a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident, ensuring that the victims receive the best possible medical care. He also extended his condolences to the families affected by the tragedy.
