Lahore (Staff Report): Former Panama Papers case Joint Investigation Team (JIT) head Wajid Zia, a Federal Investigation Agency Additional Director, on Wednesday recorded his statement with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore.
Zia who headed the JIT made on the Supreme Court’s orders to investigate the offshore properties of Sharif family’s assets also appeared before NAB Rawalpindi's combined investigation team as a witness on Tuesday.
JIT was established by Supreme Court of Pakistan to probe Panamagate scandal against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family. Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by Supreme Court in its final verdict of Panama case.
Earlier, NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhary in his informal talk with the media said the bureau will follow the apex court’s instruction in filing cases against the Sharif family and others.
