Islamabad (Web Desk) Prime Minister Imran Khan is chairing a meeting of National Security Committee (NSC) on Friday (today) in view of the situation arising out of the illegal activities of the banned outfit.
According to details, the meeting is being attended by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, Director General (DG) Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI),
Director General Intelligence Bureau (IB) and some key ministers.
Some important decisions are expected during the meeting.
Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid and Federal Minister Noorul Haq are briefing the NSC on the current situation and the illegal activities of the banned organisation.
In a tweet on Thursday, Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has convened a meeting of the NSC tomorrow in view of the situation arising out of the illegal activities of the banned outfit.
The minister added that other issues related to national security would also be discussed in the meeting.
Meanwhile, Rangers and police personnel took positions near the Chenab river and Wazirabad border.
On October 27, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that the Rangers were being called for 60 days in Punjab to maintain law and order.
