Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further expand its longstanding partnership with Kuwait across multiple sectors.

The premier expressed these views during a meeting with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who called on him in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Welcoming the visiting foreign minister, PM Shehbaz extended his warm regards and best wishes to the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.

He noted that Pakistan and Kuwait share a historic bond built on mutual trust, shared values and enduring brotherly ties.

While discussing the prevailing regional situation, PM Shehbaz reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the leadership and people of Kuwait. 
He strongly condemned the attacks carried out against Kuwait and other friendly Gulf nations during the ongoing conflict.

The prime minister said Pakistan remains committed to contributing to regional peace by serving as a sincere and impartial facilitator in diplomatic efforts.

He also expressed gratitude to Kuwait’s leadership for backing Pakistan’s initiatives aimed at promoting dialogue and stability.

PM Shehbaz further thanked the Kuwaiti government for providing opportunities to the Pakistani expatriate community and acknowledged the meaningful role Pakistani workers continue to play in Kuwait’s social and economic development.

During the meeting, the Kuwaiti foreign minister conveyed greetings and best wishes from the Kuwaiti leadership to PM Shehbaz and reaffirmed his country’s resolve to further strengthen cooperation with Pakistan in areas of mutual interest.

He also praised Pakistan’s efforts to encourage dialogue and diplomacy as a means of resolving the current regional crisis and thanked the government and people of Pakistan for standing in solidarity with Kuwait during challenging times.

The two sides agreed to continue close consultations and coordination on issues of common interest while enhancing the exchange of high-level visits in the near future.

PM Shehbaz also renewed his invitation to the Crown Prince of Kuwait to pay an official visit to Pakistan at a mutually agreed time.
