UN chief warns of devastating Gaza situation, calls for viable two-state solution’ to Israel-Palestine conflict

New York (Web Desk):United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has described the current situation in Gaza as devastating, emphasizing that resolving the Palestinian issue is essential for achieving lasting peace in the Middle East.

Speaking at the three-day global conference on the two-state solution for Palestine at the UN, he stated that the ongoing conflict is destabilizing the region and its intensity can no longer be ignored.

Guterres condemned the destruction in Gaza as "unacceptable," saying that no justification could be provided for it.

He pointed out that the Gaza issue is now squarely in front of the world, and further silence on the situation is no longer possible.
