Karachi (Web Desk): Islamabad United defeated Karachi Kings by seven wickets in 15th match of the 9th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL 9) at National Bank Stadium in Karachi on Wednesday.
Islamabad United won the toss and decided to field first.
Batting first, Karachi Kings scored 165 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in allotted 20 overs.
Kieron Pollard was unbeaten on 48 off 28 balls while Irfan Khan and Shan Masood chipped in with 27 runs each.
Islamabad United’s bowlers Salman Ali Agha, Imad Wasim, and Naseem Shah managed to claim one wicket each.
Chasing the 166-run target, Islamabad United displayed remarkable batting prowess. They achieved the target in 18.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Colin Munro played a sensational inning, scoring 82 runs in just 47 balls, while Alex Hales added 47 runs in 35 balls. Salman Ali Agha contributed an unbeaten 25 runs in 17 balls.
Karachi Kings’ bowlers Mohammad Nawaz, Tabraiz Shamsi, and Hasan Ali managed to secure one wicket each.
