Islamabad (Staff Report): Watan Party has filed a petition in the Supreme Court (SC), requesting to dismiss all petitions regarding Panama issue against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Petitioner’s lawyer Barrister Zafarullah states that name of the prime minister is not included in the Panama Papers, adding that the political rivals of the PM have moved the court for their interests.
The petitioner requested the court to dismiss all petitions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamat-e-Islami and the Awami Muslim League. He also highlighted that the National Assembly was the suitable place to discuss the issue of Panama Papers.
