Pakistan Schools Oman marks 50 years of excellence in education and social service

Muscat (Web Desk): Pakistan Schools Oman proudly marked its 50th anniversary, celebrating half a century of academic excellence, moral education, cultural harmony, and community service.

The milestone Golden Jubilee event was held in Muscat with great dignity and enthusiasm, symbolizing five decades of dedication to education and social uplift.

The ceremony’s chief guest, Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, praised Pakistan Schools Oman as a model of discipline, quality education, and intercultural harmony—not only for the Pakistani community but also for international students.

He noted that the institution continues to strengthen people-to-people ties between Pakistan and the Sultanate of Oman.

The Golden Jubilee celebration was attended by a distinguished gathering of dignitaries, officials, and diplomats from Oman, Pakistan, and several friendly countries.

Prominent among the attendees were Dr. Khadija Salami, Director General of the Ministry of Education and Training; Yusra Al-Harthi, Head of UNESCO Oman; Speaker of the Shura Council, Salem Al-Mahrouqi; Shura Council Member, Dr. Ali Al-Harasi; Senator Awais Baqweir; Sheikh Najeeb Al-Zadjali; Pakistan’s Ambassador to Oman, Syed Naveed Safdar Bukhari; and diplomats from the United Kingdom, China, Uzbekistan, Sudan, and several other countries.

In his message, Ambassador Syed Naveed Safdar Bukhari highlighted that Pakistan and Oman enjoy deeply rooted relations that continue to grow stronger through education, cultural exchange, and public engagement. He described Pakistan Schools Oman as a shining example of this enduring friendship.

Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ameer Hamza, reflected on the institution’s remarkable journey, noting that Pakistan Schools Oman remains the only non-profit Pakistani educational network in the Gulf region, progressing through its own resources and collective commitment.

He shared that, for the first time in a decade, a comprehensive external audit had been completed—demonstrating financial transparency and accountability—while student enrollment had doubled over the past three years, reflecting the trust of parents and the dedication of teachers.

The event drew a large audience of teachers, parents, students, and alumni, all expressing pride and joy at the institution’s achievements. The ceremony concluded with the national anthems and the presentation of commemorative shields.

This Golden Jubilee celebration was more than a ceremony—it was a tribute to 50 years of education, service, and resilience that have made Pakistan Schools Oman a beacon of learning and community pride.
