The battle for justice is won, now we will win the battle for the economy: SM Tanveer

Lahore (Web Desk): Addressing a major gathering of the business community, S.M. Tanveer emphasized the urgent need for economic reforms and outlined the challenges facing Pakistan's business sector.

He highlighted that Pakistan’s passport enjoys global respect and that the leadership of Field Marshal and Prime Ministers has earned international praise.

However, Tanveer pointed out that under current circumstances, not only new industries are struggling to take off, but even existing ones are facing difficulties. He also criticized high electricity costs and the steep interest rates imposed by banks.

He urged the business community to avoid ongoing disputes among local chambers, warning that such conflicts would be shameful for the sector. "We need a sectoral economy and district economy," Tanveer said, adding that with government support, Pakistan could free itself from the burden of the IMF.

Tanveer concluded by stating, "The battle for justice has been won, now we must win the battle for the economy. When our businesses thrive, the nation will prosper."

The meeting was held on the third anniversary of Tanveer's father, and was attended by a large number of business leaders and entrepreneurs.
