Karachi (Staff Report): Negative trend prevails at the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Tuesday as the benchmark KSE-100 index lost 157 points, or 0.32 per cent, to close the session at 48,523.41 points.
About 77.5 million shares had changed hands by the end of the session, with a total worth of nearly Rs 6.3 billion.
Volumes were led by commercial banking stocks amidst lower-than-usual activity in the trading session.
Stocks of 371 companies were traded, of which 150 gained in value, 196 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
