Rawalpindi (Web Desk):A devastating suicide attack targeted a convoy of Pakistan’s security forces in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, resulting in the martyrdom of 13 brave soldiers. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the attack was carried out by terrorists backed by India.
As per ISPR, a vehicle laden with explosives rammed into the military convoy. Despite attempts by the troops to thwart the attack, several personnel laid down their lives in the line of duty.
The martyred soldiers include Subedar Zahid Iqbal, Havaldar Sohrab Khan, Havaldar Mian Yousaf, Naik Khitab Shah, Lance Naik Ismail, and Sepoys Roheel, Muhammad Ramzan, Nawab, Zubair Ahmed, Muhammad Sakhi, Hashim Abbasi, Mudasir Ejaz, and Manzar Ali. These soldiers hailed from various parts of Pakistan including Karak, Naseerabad, Bannu, Dir, Mirpur Khas, Dera Ghazi Khan, Quetta, Abbottabad, Layyah, and Mardan.
Three innocent civilians — two children and a woman — were also injured in the attack.
In a swift and effective response, security forces neutralized 14 terrorists. A clearance operation is underway in the region to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining threat. ISPR emphasized that all those responsible will be brought to justice.
The military spokesperson reiterated that operations will continue until the complete eradication of India-sponsored terrorism, affirming that the armed forces and the nation stand united in defending the homeland.
