Revolutionizing trade: NLC begins China-UAE cargo service

Gilgit (Web Desk): The National Logistics Corporation (NLC) has commenced the transportation of commercial goods from China to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) via Pakistan, marking a strategic advancement in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework.

This new logistical route is expected to provide a more streamlined and time-efficient pathway for goods moving from China to the Gulf region, further strengthening regional trade.

A significant milestone in this initiative was marked by the departure of a truck from Kashgar, China, carrying electronic equipment bound for Dubai's Jebel Ali Port.

The truck made a ceremonial stop at the NLC Dry Port in Sost, underscoring the importance of this operational development.

The goods are expected to reach Karachi in a record time of eight days, after which they will be shipped to Jebel Ali by sea, with a transit time of an additional two days.

This route not only optimizes the logistics network, cutting down on the time traditionally required for such shipments but also offers a cost-effective solution for businesses engaged in trade between China and the UAE.

By reducing transit times and improving operational efficiency, this development has the potential to reshape the dynamics of cross-border trade in the region.
