Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’ candidate Pir Adil Shah on Monday won the elections for the vacant seat of Islamabad’s mayor.
According to unofficial and provisional results, Shah bagged 43 votes, while PTI’s Sajid Mahmood managed to secure 26 votes.
The mayor’s seat fell vacant following the resignation of PML-N’s Shaikh Ansar.
The polling process started at 9:00am and ended at 5:00pm without any break.
