PM Shehbaz calls Nepalese counterpart Balendra Shah, offers condolences over floods

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday held a telephonic conversation with Nepal’s Prime Minister Balendra Shah by to express Pakistan’s grief over the deaths and extensive destruction caused by recent flash floods and landslides in the country.

During the telephone call, Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan fully shared Nepal’s pain at this difficult time and extended its support to the Nepali government and people on behalf of the country’s government and nation.

He also assured his counterpart that Pakistan was ready to provide any assistance that could help Nepal deal with the aftermath of the disaster.

PM Shehbaz informed Balendra Shah that Pakistan was sending emergency relief aid to Nepal to contribute to ongoing relief operations and assist those affected by the calamity.

Prime Minister Balendra Shah expressed his appreciation to Shehbaz Sharif for contacting him and for conveying Pakistan’s solidarity with Nepal following the natural disaster.

He also thanked Pakistan for its generous offer of assistance to support Nepal during the crisis.
