Pakistan dispatches 100 tons of humanitarian assistance to Nepal

Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan on Sunday sent a 100-tonne consignment of humanitarian relief goods to Nepal on the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, extending support to communities struggling with the aftermath of devastating floods and landslides.

The relief operation was arranged through the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), with a chartered aircraft carrying the supplies from Islamabad to Kathmandu.

The assistance included tents, blankets, mats, hygiene kits and essential medicines intended for people affected by the natural disasters.

The relief items were formally dispatched during a ceremony at Islamabad International Airport. 
Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry attended the event as chief guest, while Nepal’s Ambassador to Pakistan and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NDMA and other relevant organisations were also present on the occasion.

Through the provision of emergency supplies, Pakistan has reaffirmed its solidarity with Nepal and its people, offering practical support as the country responds to the destruction caused by the floods and landslides.
