Iran reviewing US talks offer, Russia a key ally, says FM Araghchi

Tehran (Web Desk): Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has launched a sharp criticism of the United States, saying that Washington has failed to achieve any of its objectives against Iran and is now seeking renewed engagement through negotiations.

He stated that Iran has received an offer from the United States for dialogue, and the proposal is currently under consideration in Tehran.

According to him, Iran will carefully evaluate any diplomatic initiative, but will not make decisions under pressure.

Araghchi added that recent regional developments have once again demonstrated the strength of Iran’s strategic partnerships, particularly with Russia.

He described Moscow as a “reliable friend and key strategic ally,” stressing that the latest events have further strengthened ties between the two countries.

Reaffirming Iran’s stance, the foreign minister said that the country will continue to defend its sovereignty and national interests without yielding to external pressure.

He emphasized that Iran remains firm and will not be intimidated by global powers.

His statement comes at a sensitive diplomatic moment, as Russian President Vladimir Putin has reportedly assured Iran of continued support and has also offered to act as a mediator between Tehran and Washington in an effort to ease tensions and facilitate dialogue.
