The showdown between these two traditional rivals was nothing short of spectacular, with an utterly dominant performance in an hour and 14 minutes.

With this historic win 51st ranked Pakistan volleyball team paved their place in the top five teams.
Pakistan put it past India 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-23) in 5th-6th playoff clash at 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 Men’s Volleyball Competition at China Textile City Sports Center Gymnasium in Hangzhou, China on Tuesday. Earlier on Sunday, Pakistan lose to 17th-ranked Qatari team with 3-1 in quarter-finals.
It is pertinent to mention that the Men in Green beat the favourites South Korea with 3-0 in a thrilling match to reach the quarter-final.
Earlier, Pakistan topped in its group (B) with remarkable wins over Chinese Taipei and Mongolia sides.
This was the first time since the 1994 Asian Games that Pakistani side has made their place in the top six teams.
In the last Asian Games held in Indonesia in 2018, Pakistan maintained to finish at eighth.
Pakistan’s biggest achievement before that in the Asian Games volleyball history is their third-place finish in the 1962 Jakarta Asian Games.
