Hajj sermon streses unity, Taqwa, and strength of one Ummah 

Arafat, Makkah: More than 1.8 million Muslims gathered in the plains of Arafat today to perform Wuqoof-e-Arafat, the most significant ritual of Hajj.

Addressing the congregation from Masjid-e-Nimrah in Makkah, Imam of Masjid-e-Nabawi Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaify called upon Muslims to strengthen unity and uphold the values of faith and righteousness.

The Imam urged believers to remain conscious of Allah and adopt a life of piety. He highlighted that Islam brings people together regardless of nationality, language, or race, adding that Hajj reflects the spirit of one united Ummah standing before Allah.

He stressed that true dignity comes through sincerity, devotion, and belief in the oneness of Allah.

During the sermon, Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaify prayed for harmony among Muslims, acceptance of the pilgrims’ Hajj, and their safe return to their countries. He also sought peace, stability, and prosperity for the entire Muslim world.

At the conclusion of the address, the Imam appreciated the services and arrangements made by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the facilitation of pilgrims.

Following the sermon, pilgrims combined and offered Zuhr and Asr prayers in Arafat. They will stay there throughout the day engaged in prayers and supplications for the wellbeing of the Muslim Ummah.

After sunset, the pilgrims will leave for Muzdalifah, where they will combine Maghrib and Isha prayers and spend the night in the open air. They will also gather pebbles to be used in the symbolic stoning ritual scheduled for the next morning.
