Gujrat (Staff Report): At least six suspected terrorists were killed in an operation conducted by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) near the Chenab Bridge in Gujrat.
According to CTD’s spokesperson, the law enforcement agencies conducted the operation on a tip-off. The terrorists opened fire upon seeing the approaching CTD officials.
Six terrorists were killed owing in the fire exchange that lasted an hour. While three terrorists managed to escape. A search operation for the arrest of the absconders is underway.
Those killed in the shootout have been identified as Abdul Muqeem, Faisal, Usman, Azeem, Rauf and Sohaib, whose name was included in the red book.
The security officials recovered suicide bombing vest, hand grenades and ammunition from the men.
