Islamabad (Web Desk): President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi has summoned session of the National Assembly on 29th March.
The National Assembly session will be held on Monday at 4 PM.
The House will take up important national and international matters.
The development took place hours after Federal Minister Asad Umar warned of tougher restrictions if the COVID-19 situation doesn’t improve.
Addressing the media after chairing a session of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the federal minister said that more restrictions were imposed during the last two weeks due to the deteriorating coronavirus situation.
Asad Umar, who is also chairman of NCOC, asked the people to strictly adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) against Covid-19 to prevent the spread of pandemic.
The third wave of Covid-19 is spreading across the country at a very fast speed and positive cases are increasing rapidly, the minister added and maintained that during the last five days, positivity rate has increased manifold and we will have to battle this disease unitedly by observing all SOPs.
