'Operation Ghazab lil Haq': Pakistan Armed forces continue effective, decisive actions against Afghan Taliban aggression

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Pakistani security forces have launched a major counteroffensive against the Afghan Taliban following unprovoked attacks along the Pak-Afghan border, successfully dismantling multiple Taliban positions and restoring control over key areas.

According to military sources, the Pakistan Army carried out a series of well-coordinated operations along the border, capturing several Taliban posts and asserting dominance over contested locations by hoisting the Pakistani flag.

The army neutralized Taliban check posts in the Gursal sector and eliminated a Barikot base near Chitral, while multiple Taliban hideouts in the Kurram sector were also destroyed.

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) joined the offensive under “Operation Ghazab lil Haq,” targeting and demolishing a large ammunition depot in Nangarhar. Taliban positions at Kharlachi Terminal were also destroyed, along with several frontline posts along the border.

In strategic airstrikes, key Taliban military installations in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia provinces were struck. Two brigade headquarters in Kabul were destroyed, and Kandahar saw the elimination of one corps headquarters, one brigade headquarters, a logistics hub, and an ammunition depot.

Simultaneous ground operations were conducted in Bajaur, Wali Khan, and Angoor Adda sectors, preventing further Taliban attacks and neutralizing several insurgents.

Security forces also captured posts in Paktia and Paktika, hoisting Pakistan’s national flag over five seized positions opposite South Waziristan, including two near Shawal, two near Angoor Adda, and one near Zarmalan. The Afghan terminal at Angoor Adda was also destroyed during the operations.

Heavy damage was inflicted on Taliban installations, including the border terminals at Angoor Adda and Warsak, as well as the Manu Jabba post. Camps and positions such as Shapula, Khyber, and Khawar were also severely hit.

Military sources highlighted that the Pakistan Army conducted the operations in a professional and disciplined manner, respectfully lowering Afghan flags and raising Pakistan’s flags over the captured sites.

The coordinated use of air strikes, artillery, and drones enabled swift and decisive action, underscoring Pakistan’s capacity to counter cross-border threats effectively.
