Operation Ghazab lil-Haq: PAF destroys Taliban depots, HQs in Laghman, sources say

Rawalpindi / Islamabad (Web Desk): Tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border escalated as Afghan forces reportedly carried out unprovoked attacks on Pakistani positions.

In response, the Pakistani Armed Forces acted swiftly and decisively, delivering a strong counterstrike to neutralize the threat.

According to security sources, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) conducted precise retaliatory operations targeting terrorist hideouts and their logistical support networks across the border in Afghanistan. The operations focused on key areas in the provinces of Laghman and Nangarhar, where critical militant infrastructure was reported to be located.

A large cache of weapons and ammunition used by terrorists was destroyed.

The Battalion Headquarters in Laghman, which was a major operational hub for militant activities and  Brigade Center in Nangarhar, which played a significant role in coordinating cross-border attacks, were also destroyed. 

Security officials stressed that Pakistan will not tolerate any act of aggression originating from Afghan territory.

While Pakistan has traditionally exercised restraint in border conflicts, the Armed Forces are fully prepared to respond decisively to protect national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The operation comes amid growing concerns over cross-border militancy and reflects Pakistan’s policy of proactive defense against threats emanating from its western border. Analysts say such actions are aimed at sending a clear message that unprovoked attacks will meet a strong and immediate response.

Officials also indicated that Pakistan will continue to monitor the situation closely, maintaining readiness for further contingencies, and underscored that the country’s response is guided by strategic necessity and national security priorities.
