Riyadh (Web Desk): PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Discusses Strengthening Sports Ties with Saudi Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal

Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, met with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, to discuss further strengthening sports cooperation between the two countries. The meeting focused on promoting cricket in Saudi Arabia, encouraging youth participation in positive sports activities, and enhancing the sports relationship between both nations.

Naqvi praised Saudi Arabia’s leadership for securing the hosting rights for major international tournaments, such as the AFC Asian Cup 2027, the Asian Winter Games 2029, the Asian Games 2034, and the FIFA World Cup 2034. He highlighted Saudi Arabia’s exceptional growth in the sports sector under its Vision 2030.

Both parties agreed to develop practical cooperation plans, including the development of cricket infrastructure, joint training programs, mutual tours, and the organization of junior and youth-level tournaments. These initiatives aim to create new opportunities for young people in both countries and foster stronger friendship and harmony in the field of sports.

Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will use cricket as a bridge for friendship and regional harmony, opening new possibilities for the youth. The collaboration in sports between the two countries is expected to be mutually beneficial.
