Deadly blaze in Hong Kong high-rise: 13 killed, including firefighter

Hong Kong (Web Desk): A devastating fire broke out in a multi-story residential complex in northern Hong Kong, resulting in the deaths of 13 people, including one firefighter. According to foreign news agencies, the fire has been classified as a fourth-degree blaze, and firefighting efforts have been ongoing for several hours.

In addition to the fatalities, several individuals have been injured. Police have reported that many people are still trapped inside the building, and rescue operations are continuing.

The residential complex consists of approximately 2,000 apartments, housing around 5,000 residents. Following the fire, about 700 people have been moved to temporary shelters for safety. Despite the fire department's best efforts, some firefighters have also sustained injuries during the operation.

The complex consists of 8 blocks, with each block being 31 stories high. Authorities are continuing their rescue and relief operations, and there are concerns that the death toll may rise further as the situation unfolds.
