PSL 11: Lahore Qalandars set 200-run target for Hyderabad Kingsmen

Lahore (Web Desk): The 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has officially begun. In the opening match, defending champions Lahore Qalandars set a target of 200 runs for Hyderabad Kingsmen, who are playing their first game in the league.

At Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Lahore Qalandars won the toss and chose to bat first. They scored 199 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Fakhar Zaman starred at the top of the order with a brilliant 53-run innings, supported by Muhammad Naeem, who contributed 30 runs. In the middle order, wicketkeeper-batsman Haseebullah remained unbeaten on 40 runs. Sikandar Raza scored 24, Asif Ali made 9, and Shaheen Afridi remained not out on 12.

For Hyderabad Kingsmen, Meredith and Hassan Khan claimed 2 wickets each, while Mohammad Ali took 1 wicket.

Due to regional tensions and government measures to manage energy consumption, no spectators are allowed in the stadium this season.
