Karachi (Web Desk): The price of 24 karat gold experienced a notable decline on Wednesday, as it fell by Rs2,400 per tola, bringing the rate down to Rs306,300 from the previous day’s closing of Rs308,700.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA), the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold dropped by Rs2,058, settling at Rs262,602, compared to Rs264,660 in the prior trading session.
The value of 10 grams of 22 karat gold also saw a reduction of Rs1,886, falling to Rs240,727 from Rs243,613.
In the silver market, the per tola price decreased by Rs36, now at Rs3,314, while the price for 10 grams of silver dropped by Rs31, bringing it down to Rs2,841.
Globally, the price of gold retreated by $24 per ounce, reaching $2,916, down from $2,940.
Similarly, the international silver market saw a decline of $0.41, with the price per ounce dropping to $31.79 from $32.20.
