Islamabad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday urged Pakistani nation to take practical lessons from the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), stressing that dedication, hard work and helping others should become important principles of life.
In their separate Eid Milad-un-Nabi messages, the president and the premier extended their warm wishes to the Pakistani nation as well as Muslims around the world on the auspicious occasion marking the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
President Zardari said the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) should be reflected in the way society functions. “It is incumbent upon us to practically promote justice and fairness, tolerance, inter-sectarian and interfaith harmony, and the protection of human dignity in our society.”
He said Eid Milad-un-Nabi reminded humanity of the immense blessing of Allah Almighty, who provided people with the ideal path based on faith, guidance, justice, mercy and virtuous conduct.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the country could tackle its economic, social and moral difficulties by adopting Islamic teachings in collective life. The state broadcaster quoted him as saying, “we must mould our collective lives in accordance with the perfect guidance provided by Islam”.
He also urged the people to contribute to efforts aimed at transforming Pakistan into a powerful, prosperous, peaceful and welfare-oriented country.
In a separate message posted on X, the prime minister said the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) “remain an eternal source of guidance for all humanity — calling us towards compassion, justice, tolerance, unity and service to others”.
“Let us pledge to illuminate our character and collective conduct with the light of Seeratun Nabi (PBUH) and work together for a peaceful, and prosperous Pakistan,” he said.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) is being celebrated across Pakistan today (Wednesday) as Muslims observe 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal with deep devotion, respect and religious fervour.
The occasion is being observed through special prayers, religious programmes, processions and other activities across the country.
