Islamabad (Web Desk): The federal government on Tuesday announced four holidays for the Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to the notification issued in this regard, the 4-day Eid vacation will begin on May 2 (Monday) and will continue till May 5 (Thursday).
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was sent a summary recommending three days of holidays for the occasion, however, the premier approved four days of leave.
Eid-ul-Fitr, the religious festival of Muslims, is celebrated on the first of Shawwal according to the Muslim Hijri calendar, marking the end of the holy fasting month of Ramazan.
