President Zardari felicitates Jordanian leadership on Independence Day

Islamabad (Web Desk): Asif Ali Zardari on Monday conveyed his congratulations to King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein and the people of Jordan on the occasion of their Independence Day, which is observed every year on May 25.

In his message delivered on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan, the president highlighted the longstanding and friendly relations between Pakistan and Jordan, describing them as being built on mutual respect, trust and shared values.

President Zardari noted that both countries enjoy a strong level of coordination and largely share common perspectives on a range of regional and global matters, reflecting a close and consistent understanding between the two sides.

Expressing optimism about the future, he said he was confident that the brotherly relationship between Pakistan and Jordan would continue to deepen and strengthen in the coming years.

Recalling the visit of the Jordanian monarch to Pakistan in November 2025, the president said that the trip played an important role in boosting bilateral cooperation and further reinforcing the close ties of friendship between the two nations.

President Zardari also extended his heartfelt wishes for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the people of Jordan.
