Quetta (Web Desk): A local court in Quetta on Saturday approved the bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s nephew and focal person Hassaan Khan Niazi.
According to details, police presented the PTII leader before the judicial magistrate and sought his five-day physical remand.
The court rejected the request for Niazi's physical remand granted the PTI leader bail against surety bonds worth Rs100,000.
An Islamabad court on Friday handed over the custody of Hassaan Niazi to Balochistan Police in connection with a case registered with the Quetta police.
Hassaan Niazi arrested earlier this week on charges of intimidating and obstructing police officers from discharging their duties.
The Quetta police registered an FIR against Mr Niazi under sections 109 (abetment), 147 (rioting), 149 (unlawful assembly), 153 (inciting to riot) and 347 (wrongful restraint) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
The arrest is part of an ongoing crackdown on PTI activists and supporters who police claim assaulted law enforcers while they were performing their duties in Islamabad.
