PM & Saudi Military Chief pledge to deepen Pak-Saudi ties and strengthen defense cooperation

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with General Fayyadh bin Hameed Al Rowaili, Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, to discuss strengthening the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister extended his best wishes to the Saudi leadership and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations. He praised Saudi Arabia's unwavering support and solidarity with Pakistan, emphasizing that the two countries’ relations are built on shared beliefs and mutual trust. The Prime Minister also mentioned his successful recent visits to Riyadh.

The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan's determination to deepen defense cooperation and further enhance the defense partnership between the two nations. General Al Rowaili conveyed a congratulatory message from the Saudi leadership to the Prime Minister and the people of Pakistan, expressing Saudi Arabia’s strong desire to elevate the defense and strategic partnership to new heights.

The meeting was attended by key officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, and senior officials from both sides.

Both leaders discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation, security, and defense strategies, and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening relations and advancing defense collaboration.
