Interior Minister Naqvi in Italy for meetings with European counterparts

Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has arrived in Italy on a high-profile European visit, aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s collaboration with key European nations on immigration control and internal security matters.

During his visit, Minister Naqvi is scheduled to hold meetings with the interior ministers of Italy, Greece, and Spain. These discussions will focus on Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to prevent illegal immigration and enhance cooperation with European countries on border management.

Officials indicate that the European ministers are expected to formally acknowledge Pakistan’s initiatives to curb illegal migration and recognize the steps taken by the Ministry of Interior to maintain orderly migration channels.

As part of the delegation, senior officials from the Punjab Police will brief the visiting ministers about the Punjab Government’s Police Service Centre Global.

This initiative, which has gained international recognition across Europe, showcases Pakistan’s efforts in modernizing police services and providing effective administrative and security solutions.

Beyond migration, the meetings will also cover a range of other critical topics, including regional security challenges, law enforcement collaboration, and the exchange of best practices in policing and public safety.
