Failure to negotiate will spell trouble for Tehran, warns Trump

Washington (Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has once again issued a warning to Iran, stating that failure to engage in negotiations would have severe consequences for Tehran.

Posting on his social media platform “Truth Social,” Trump clarified that reports attributed to General Daniel about a potential strike on Iran are false. He emphasized that the Iranian people are “great” and should not be harmed.

Trump further dismissed speculation about a possible war with Iran, calling such reports unfounded.

Meanwhile, US officials have indicated that US Special Representative Steve Wittkof is scheduled to meet with an Iranian delegation on Thursday to discuss improving bilateral relations.

Separately, US Senator Lindsey Graham warned about Iran’s extensive ballistic missile arsenal, which includes both long- and short-range missiles. Graham stated that these missiles pose a potential threat to US military bases and could endanger personnel stationed there.

The senator also noted that garnering domestic support for regime change in Iran would be difficult, and the current Iranian government remains an obstacle to stability in the region.

This series of statements highlights the tense dynamics between the US and Iran, with diplomatic talks on the horizon but security concerns still dominating political discourse.
