Washington (Web Desk): Washington (Web Desk): US President Donald Trump on Monday claimed that Iran was “completely collapsing” as tensions and hostilities between Washington and Tehran continued.
“IRAN IS COMPLETELY COLLAPSING!!! President DJT,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social account, offering no additional explanation.

His latest remark was in line with previous claims in which he has pointed to what he describes as the worsening economic and military situation in Iran.
A day earlier, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Washington was moving into an "economic D-Day" phase against Tehran. His comments came after he claimed that the Trump administration had significantly weakened Iran’s military strength and nuclear infrastructure.
"President (Donald) Trump has dismantled Iran’s military capabilities, destroyed nearly 100 per cent of its military factories, and buried its nuclear programme," Bessent said in a post on the US social media platform X.
Trump had also said on Friday that, despite the growing economic pressure, he did not believe Tehran was prepared to accept what he considers "the right deal" with Washington.
"They would love to make a deal, but they're not ready to make the right deal, in my opinion," Trump told reporters. "They have no money, they have no navy, they have no air force, they are not paying their soldiers, they're not paying their police. They have 350% inflation," he added.
The US president further claimed that Washington has "complete control" over the area around the Strait of Hormuz, including the strategically important waterway and the land surrounding it in southern Iran.
