Islamabad (Web Desk): Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke by phone with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, during which he appreciated Pakistan’s positive and constructive efforts in helping facilitate dialogue between Iran and the United States (US).
According to a Foreign Office (FO) statement posted on X, the two leaders exchanged views on their bilateral relationship and explored cooperation at multilateral platforms focused on strengthening global peace and security.

DPM Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to keep playing its part in advancing dialogue and diplomatic engagement as a means to address ongoing issues.
The statement further noted that both sides highlighted the importance of continued high-level interactions and also discussed rearranging the visit of Shehbaz Sharif to Russia at a mutually agreed time in the near future.
During the conversation, Dar invited Lavrov to visit Pakistan, while both officials agreed to stay in regular contact moving forward.
