PM Shehbaz joins world leaders at UNGA's 80th session today

New York (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be present at the inaugural session of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), where representatives from all 193 member states are gathering.

PM Shehbaz, who reached New York late Monday night mainly to attend the UNGA session, will also attend a special summit of Arab and Islamic countries, co-hosted by the United States (US) and Qatar,  which will also see the participation of US President Donald Trump.

During his engagements, PM Shehbaz is scheduled to meet Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva.

In addition, he will address a high-level session of the Global Development Initiative (GDI), where the discussions will center on the theme “Recommit to our Original Aspirations, United to Build a Brighter Future of Global Development.”
