Concerns grow over Hindutva-linked violence targeting Muslims in Modi-led India, report claims

New Delhi (Web Desk): A report released by India Persecution Tracker has highlighted alleged hate crimes committed by Hindu extremist elements on religious grounds.

The report claims that in the first four months of the current year, thirteen Muslims were killed across eight different states in India.

It further states that Muslims in the country are reportedly facing eviction from their homes, forced displacement, and denial of basic civil liberties.

According to the findings, there have also been instances where Muslims were arrested for participating in or carrying out religious practices.

The report additionally alleges that India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Home Minister, and several BJP chief ministers have continued to make speeches that target Muslims with hostile and inflammatory rhetoric.
