Democracy strengthens through dialogue, not deadlock: Rana Sanaullah

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political and Public Affairs Senator Rana Sanaullah has said that democracy is strengthened through dialogue rather than confrontation and deadlock.

Responding to concerns raised by Opposition Leader Raja Nasir Abbas in the Senate, he expressed disappointment that the opposition often shies away from participating in political dialogue, a tendency that frequently results in stalemates.

The PM’s adviser urged opposition parties to actively engage in the political process to address differences and reinforce democratic practices in the country.

Rana Sanaullah informed the House that all the entitled facilities are being provided to the Pakistan Tehrreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder.

He also confirmed that medical assistance has been made available to him in line with the directions of the Supreme Court (SC).

Earlier, addressing the Senate, Raja Nasir Abbas requested the government to move the PTI founder from prison to a hospital to receive proper medical care. He further insisted that the legal cases against him should be processed and heard promptly.
